ABOUT ME
Hi! I’m a Canadian-trained, board-certified optometrist and provide an array of comprehensive services for patients of all ages.
I especially like seeing children and youth, and love to practice different languages with my patients. I've been fortunate enough to participate in several international trips in which vision care was provided to areas where access was limited and this has - and continues - to give me perspective on how I treat my patients and develop relationships that provide more than just routine care.

FAQS
WHO IS COVERED UNDER THE ONTARIO HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN (OHIP)?
Patients who are 19 years and younger, or 65 years and older are covered by OHIP once every year. Adults who are 20 to 64 years old and have certain medical conditions (such as diabetes) are also covered once every year with a valid OHIP card. Visit the Ontario Association of Optometrists for more information.
MY WORK/SCHOOL PLAN PROVIDES ME WITH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR EYE EXAMS AND EYEWEAR. HOW DO I USE MY PLAN?
In many cases, we are able to directly bill the insurance company on your behalf. If this is not possible, you will be given a receipt to manually submit to your insurance plan provider for reimbursement. Please check with our staff if you have any questions when booking your appointment.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET MY EYES CHECKED?
Children and seniors need to get their eyes checked annually. Healthy adults should get an eye exam every 1-2 years. More frequent exams may be recommended if you have other medical conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, or diabetes (or have a family history of eye disease).
AT WHAT AGE SHOULD MY CHILD BE GETTING THEIR EYES CHECKED?
The Ontario Association of Optometrists recommends that infants have their first eye exam between 6 and 9 months of age to rule out congenital eye diseases or other abnormalities. Annual exams can begin when your child reaches 3 years of age.
I SEE PERFECTLY FINE, WHY DO I NEED TO GET MY EYES CHECKED?
Often, eye disease lurks in the background and does not necessarily affect your vision right away. Early detection and routine exams are important in treating otherwise preventable vision loss.
